Eligibility Conditions:


Prospective candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions before applying. The Commission emphasizes that admission to the examination stages is provisional, subject to fulfilling prescribed eligibility criteria. The decision on eligibility lies with the Commission and is considered final.


How to Apply:


The application process is exclusively online through the official HPSC website (http://hpsc.gov.in). Detailed instructions for online application submission are available on the website. Candidates are reminded that no other means or modes of application submission will be accepted.


Important Dates:


- Opening date for submission of online applications: 01.01.2024

- Closing date for submission of online applications: 31.01.2024

- Last date for receipt of applications: 31.01.2024

- Preliminary Examination: 03.03.2024 (tentative)

- Main Written Examination: June-July 2024 (tentative)


Application Fee:


The application fee varies for different categories:

1. General (Male): ₹1000/-

2. General (Female): ₹250/-

3. SC/BC-A/BC-B/ESM: ₹250/-

4. PwBD (Haryana only): Nil


Vacancy Details:


A total of 174 posts for Civil Judges (Junior Division) are open for recruitment. The distribution includes various categories, and candidates are advised to check the detailed bifurcation mentioned in the official advertisement.


Selection Process:


The selection process consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination, and Viva-Voce. The Preliminary Examination serves as a screening test, and candidates need to secure a minimum of 150 marks to qualify for the Main Written Examination.


Examination Syllabus:


The Main Written Examination will include papers on Civil Law, Criminal Law, English, and Language (Hindi). The standard of questions will be at the Law Graduate level, assessing candidates' knowledge, analytical skills, reasoning, and aptitude.

Age Limit and Relaxations:


Candidates should be between 21 to 42 years of age as of 31.01.2024. Relaxations are applicable for specific categories, such as SC, BC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen, with variations in the extent of relaxation based on the category.


Application of EWS Category:


Candidates falling under the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category must submit a certificate as per Haryana Government instructions, showing an annual family income less than ₹6 lakhs for the year 2023-24.


No Objection Certificate (NOC):


Candidates currently employed under Haryana Government are required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments. However, those without a bond with the state government may forward their applications without an NOC.


Scribe/Compensatory Time for PwBD Candidates:


Candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for a scribe or compensatory time based on their specific disability. The request for a scribe or compensatory time must be submitted to the Commission at least 10 days before the examination.


Code of Conduct and Disqualification:


The Commission has outlined a stringent code of conduct, and any violation, including obtaining support through illegal means, impersonation, or malpractices during the examination, can lead to disqualification.
